**REQUIRED Band Participation Purchases** There are several expenses White House Band of Pride members are responsible for. Please do not feel overwhelmed. If you need financial help with these expenses, contact Mr. Mudd. We will not discourage a student from participating in the White House Band of Pride simply because they cannot afford the cost of membership.
1. MARCHING BAND - The participation cost for the 2023 Marching Band Season is $300.00. Payment can be made online using the Online School Payments (OSP) site or by check (payable to White House High School). The first payment of $150.00 is due by August 1. The second payment of $150.00 is due by September 1. Please contact Mr. Mudd if there is a barrier to submitting payment on time.
2. SUMMER UNIFORM - This is what all Marching Band members are to wear during the hot summer months at performances. The Summer Uniform consists of ONE SUMMER UNIFORM SHOW SHIRT and ONE PAIR OF BLACK ATHLETIC SHORTS. Previously purchased Summer Uniform Shorts can be used if they are still in good condition. While one Summer Uniform set is required, it is recommended to have two. There are instances where they will be worn on a Friday evening for a football game and then needed the next day for an exhibition or competition. ALL orders must be placed by the last day of band camp - July 21, 2023.
3. MARCHING BAND CUSTOM UNIFORM TOP - This is a show specific Custom Uniform Top with a cost of $120.00 for ALL Marching Band members. These will be ordered through the White House Band Boosters. Payment can be made online using the CHARMS site or by cash/check (payable to White House Band Boosters) and placed in the BLACK BOX in the Band Room. Payment for the Marching Band Custom Uniform Top is due by August 1.
*OR...... COLOR GUARD CUSTOM UNIFORM (if applicable) - This is a show specific Custom Uniform with a cost of $120.00 for ALL Color Guard members. These will be ordered through the White House Band Boosters. Payment can be made online using the CHARMS site or by cash/check (payable to White House Band Boosters) and placed in the BLACK BOX in the Band Room. Payment for the Marching Band Custom Uniform Top is due by August 1.
4. BIBBERS (for all Winds, Percussion, or Drum Majors) - These are black overall style pants that cost $50.00. Previously purchased Bibbers can be used if they are still in good condition and fit properly. These will be ordered through the White House Band Boosters for those that need them. Payment can be made online using the CHARMS site or by cash/check (payable to White House Band Boosters) and placed in the BLACK BOX in the Band Room. Payment for Bibbers is due by the last day of Band Camp -July 21, 2023.
5. MARCHING SHOES/GLOVES - Marching Shoes are roughly $50.00 and Gloves cost $4.00. These will be ordered through the White House Band Boosters for those that need them. Previously purchased Marching Shoes and Gloves can be used if they are still in good condition and fit properly. Payments can be made online using the CHARMS site or by cash/check (payable to White House Band Boosters) and placed in the BLACK BOX in the Band Room. Payment for Marching Shoes and/or Gloves is due by the last day of Band Camp -July 21, 2023.
*OR...... COLOR GUARD SHOES (if applicable) – Color Guard Shoes are roughly $40.00. These will be ordered through the White House Band Boosters for those that need them. If a new style of Color Guard Shoes is not required, previously purchased Color Guard Shoes can be used if they are still in good condition and fit properly. Payments can be made online using the CHARMS site or by cash/check (payable to White House Band Boosters) and placed in the BLACK BOX in the Band Room. Payment for Color Guard Shoes is due by the last day of Band Camp -July 21, 2023.
6. CONCERT BAND - The participation cost for Concert Band is $50.00 for the Fall Semester (due November 1) and $50.00 for the Spring Semester (due April 1). Payments can be made online using the Online School Payments (OSP) site or by check made out to White House High School.
7. CONCERT BAND ATTIRE – The attire for Concert Band is as follows:
LADIES wear a specified black Concert Dress with a cost of $60 and solid black Dress Shoes. If the dress style is not changing, previously purchased dresses can be used if they are still in good condition and fit properly. Ladies will need to provide their own solid black dress shoes.
GENTLEMEN wear a black Tuxedo with solid black Dress Shoes. They will borrow a White House Band Booster-owned set of tuxedo pants and jacket, but will need to purchase a specified dress shirt, tie and cummerbund with a cost of $26. A previously purchased set of dress shirt, tie and cummerbund can be used if they are still in good condition and fit properly. Gentlemen will need to provide their own solid black dress shoes.
Sizing and ordering of Concert Band Attire will take place in the Fall. These will be ordered through the White House Band Boosters for those that need them. Payment can be made online using the CHARMS site or by cash/check (payable to White House Band Boosters) and placed in the BLACK BOX in the Band Room. Payment for any Concert Band Attire isdue by November 1.
